ABRET LTM Lab Accreditation

The laboratory Accreditation Board of ABRET (LAB of ABRET) is a separate board functioning under ABRET, Inc., a not-for-profit, 501 (c6) corporation.

The Long-term monitoring (LTM) Board of ABRET accredits (1) Epilepsy Monitoring and (2) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/Critical Care EEG monitoring laboratories. An additional designation will be given for laboratories performing invasive Epilepsy Monitoring.

ABRET has a 50 year history of credentialing technologists and evaluating competency.

Benefits of LAB-LTM Accreditation

Objective verification of quality & Independent review of procedures will enhance the program’s Credibility, Integrity and Reputation.

Successful laboratories will receive a framed certificate and a press kit with two separate designations for Epilepsy Monitoring and Critical Care EEG accreditation.

LAB-LTM Purpose

The purpose of the Laboratory Accreditation Board of ABRET, in accordance with ABRET’s mission statement, is to recognize through an objective peer review process, Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) Laboratories that:

  1. Comply with established standards and guidelines
  2. Have policies and procedures in place that meet its standards of care; and
  3. Support professionalism and quality patient care
