Update from PTC
ABRET is in contact with our testing service provider, The Professional Testing Corporation, and our testing centers operated through Prometric.
From Prometric
In accordance with the changing local and federal governance and advice from the CDC and WHO, we have determined it is necessary to further extend the closure of test centers in the U.S. and Canada through May 31st.
If your exam appointment is impacted by these closure extensions, you will receive an email notification informing you that your appointment has been canceled, and instructions for how to reschedule for a future date. No rescheduling fees will be applied, and we are working with your exam sponsor to ensure all program requirements are met. Please note that if you choose to contact Prometric for assistance, hold times may be extended due to the volume of individuals we are attempting to support. We thank you for your patience.
With testing centers operating at a reduced capacity, ABRET highly recommends that all candidates looking to schedule an examination, reserve any available appointment. In order to comply with social distancing guidelines, some appointments may be canceled and will require rescheduling.
If you are looking to schedule a new appointment, you can search for available appointments on our website, www.prometric.com/abret. Note that appointments in the US and Canada will not be available until June 1, 2020. For the latest updates regarding COVID-19 in general and best practices for overall health and safety, please visit the https://www.cdc.gov/
All candidates will still receive the full 3-month testing window from June 1 through September 1, 2020.
Measurement Assessment
In addition to the previously canceled assessments, the exam located in Dayton, OH has been postponed. Decisions on future assessments will be conducted on a week-to-week basis. Please visit the measurement assessment webpage for up-to-date information. We are currently working on adding additional locations in 2020. Once confirmed, those locations will be posted to the assessment webpage.
If you have any measurement assessment questions, please call (217) 726-7987.
Continuing Education
With the cancelation of some state, regional, and national conferences due to COVID-19, many chapters are moving to a virtual format. ABRET accepts CEUs earned from a virtual meeting just as we would for an in-person conference. There will be no change in the amount of continuing education units needed for recertification, however, we are researching other options for our credential holders. Please continue to monitor this page for additional updates.
