ABRET Signs Agreement with National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC)

ABRET’s Long Term Monitoring Laboratory Credentialing Board (LAB-LTM) Signs a Collaboration Agreement with the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC)

Springfield, IL – ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation and LAB-LTM are pleased to work with the National Association of Epilepsy Centers in the accreditation process of Level 3 and Level 4 Epilepsy Centers.  The NAEC will recognize ABRET’s LAB-LTM Epilepsy Monitoring Program Accreditation as meeting the vEEG reporting requirements as of 2016.

About the National Association of Epilepsy Centers

The NAEC was founded in 1987 by physician leaders committed to setting a national agenda for quality epilepsy care.  The NAEC has a membership of more than 200 specialized epilepsy centers in the United States.  The primary objectives of NAEC are to connect people with epilepsy to specialized epilepsy care, and to support epileptologists and administrators in the operation of their epilepsy centers.

About ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation

ABRET was organized in 1964 and is the credentialing board for EEG, Evoked Potential, Long Term Monitoring, Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring Technologists and Autonomic Testing Professionals. The first Laboratory Accreditation Board, LAB-EEG, in 2004.  LAB-LTM was founded in 2012 to recognize through an objective peer review process, Long Term Monitoring Programs that comply with established standards and guidelines; have policies and procedures in place that meet its standard of care; and support professionalism and quality patient care.
